You directly provide Tekmania with most of the personal data we collect. We collect and process personal data when you: 

• Register online or place an order for any of our courses or services. 

• Complete a customer survey or provide feedback on any of our message 

boards or via email. 

 

Tekmania may also receive your personal data indirectly from the following sources: 

• Online credit card or electronic transfer payments

 

How will we use your personal data? 

Tekmania uses your personal data to: 

• Process your order and, manage your account. 

• Contact you with information on courses, changes, and billing. 

• Contact you in case of emergencies.

• Contact you with new information and updates.  You may always opt out of receiving new information and updates by emailing us at info@tekmania.ch.

 

When Tekmania processes your order, it may send your personal data to, and also use the resulting information from, credit reference agencies to prevent fraudulent purchases. 

 

How do we store your data? 

Tekmania securely stores your personal data at our facility in our customer files and database.  These files are encrypted and password protected, and are not shared outside of normal business functions at Tekmania.

 

Tekmania will keep your registered information for 60 days after services are cancelled. Once this time period has expired, we will delete your personal data and discard all information.

 

What are your data protection rights? 

Tekmania would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. You are entitled to the following: 

• The right to access - You have the right to request copies of your data held by Tekmania. Under exceptional circumstances we may charge you a small fee for this service. 

• The right to rectification - You have the right to request that Tekmania corrects any personal data that  is inaccurate or incomplete.

• The right to erasure - You have the right to request that Tekmania erase your personal data, where there are no legal grounds for further processing. 

• The right to restrict processing - You have the right to request that Tekmania restrict the processing of your personal data, if you consider that the personal data are inaccurate, if our processing of your data is unlawful, if we no longer need your personal data, or if you object to processing. 

• The right to object to processing - You have the right to object to Tekmania’s processing of your personal data, where it is based on our legitimate interests.  You have the right to object at any time to our processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes, including by email, even if you have previously consented to this kind of processing. 

• The right to data portability - You have the right to request that Tekmania transfer the personal data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
